“Ouvi falar que em algumas faculdades não querem receber palestrantes muito conservador ou ler livros que possam ofender mulheres ou negros. Sabe o que, vou te dizer, não concordo com isso aí. Não concordo que vocês, quando se tornam universitários, precisam ser postos no colo e protegidos de opiniões contrárias. Vocês podem – vocês devem – convidar a falar todos com quem vocês discordam. Vocês devem discutir com eles. Mas não silenciá-los dizendo que são sensíveis demais para ouvir o que têm a dizer. Assim não se aprende coisa alguma.”

But you shouldn’t silence them by saying, ‘You can’t come because my–I’m too sensitive to hear what you have to say.’ That’s not, that’s not the way we learn either.”
